Moncler will provide Extreme E, the new electric SUV off-road racing series, with a dedicated uniform for its remote races. The co-branded uniforms include outerwear as well as other items like T-shirts, sweatshirts, soft accessories and shoes for a mix of terrains. Extreme E, founded by Alejandro Agag and Gil de Ferran in 2018, will bring electric racing to some of the most remote corners of the planet to stress the climate change challenges faced by different ecosystems, while showcasing the performance of all-electric SUVs in extreme conditions. The inaugural Extreme E season will debut in March 2021 in AI Ula, Saudi Arabia, followed by races in Lac Rose, Senegal in May, Kangerlussuaq, Greenland in August, the Amazon rainforest in Brazil in October, and the season finale in Patagonia, Argentina, in December. The racing locations are chosen to raise awareness of different aspects of climate change.
