New York-based licensed headwear company New Era Cap hired Steve Gallo as GM for North America back in September, reporting to co-Presidents Jim Grundtisch and Jim Patterson. The news follows recent reports that New Era is planning an initial public offering that would value the company at $4 billion to $5 billion. Gallo was most recently president of recovery footwear brand Oofos, a post he has held for nearly six years after stints at Adidas and Reebok.
An Oofos location in Virginia has opened and the active recovery brand will open locations in Georgia and Florida later this month.
