Fila Holdings Corp. has announced that the Fila brand’s partnership with the Italian Ice Sports Federation (FISG) will continue for the entire four-year Olympic cycle until 2026. The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, where the national short and long-track speed skating team and the mixed doubles curling performed in specially designed kits by Fila, were the Italian team’s most successful ever. Italy ice sports contributed to nine of the 17 medals won by the country that year. The renewed agreement will extend to other disciplines such as ice stock sport, synchronized skating, para ice hockey and wheelchair curling.

Italy will host the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics from Feb. 6 to 22. The country previously hosted the Winter Games in 1960 (Rome), 1956 (Cortina d’Ampezzo) and 2006 (Turin).

Fila was originally founded in 1911 by brothers Ettore and Giansevero Fila in Biella, Italy.
