A Dstrict Court for the state of Illinois has dismissed with prejudice a proposed class action suit launched by Rikki Guajardo in May 2019. She claimed that her child had suffered pain and burns when Skechers’ Energy Lights sneakers heated up. She accused the company of deceptive trade practices and other wrongdoings. The court had already dismissed some of the plaintiff’s claims last November. It now dismissed her remaining and amended claims.
