The Authentic Brands Group (ABG) has picked a new licensee for Reebok in India and other ASEAN nations: Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. The Indian company, Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd. (ABFRL) is already ABG’s local licensee for Forever 21 and Van Heusen. It also works for Ralph Lauren and other fashion brands. The publicly traded company operates over 3,000 stores in India. It will take over an estimated $10 to $13 million in local Reebok inventory and other assets after ABG closes its planned takeover of the brand from Adidas in the first quarter of 2022. According to ABFRL, Reebok’s sales in India amounted to INR 429 crore (€51m-$57m) in 2020.
