Skechers has opened a flagship store on Dublin’s Grafton Street. In addition to the Henry Street concept store and four other retail outlets in the greater Dublin area, the new 929 sqm location is designed to showcase Skechers’ extensive range and technologies in one of Ireland’s busiest neighborhoods and expand the company’s presence in the country.
“Skechers has an established network of stores across Great Britain and Ireland, and we continue to invest in key markets like this on our path to reach $10 billion in annual sales by 2026,” said David Weinberg, Skechers’ chief operating officer. “This flagship destination adds dimension to our brand – building excitement and driving our comfort message home in a district that makes big impressions on consumers. We believe this new store’s an ideal centerpiece – ready to captivate and drive growth across Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as Europe.” For Peter Youell, managing director of Skechers USA Ltd, the U.K. subsidiary of Skechers USA, Inc. for the U.K. and Ireland, the new flagship store will also appeal to tourists who frequent the well-known shopping street in large numbers.
The new store, located at 13-14 Grafton Street, reflects Skechers’ entire range of footwear, matching apparel and accessories, as well as a dedicated performance store while catering to local style. The flagship store is one of 111 Skechers retail stores in Ireland and the U.K.
The company’s product collections are available in more than 180 countries and territories in department and specialty stores, as well as direct-to-consumer through digital stores and 4,458 owned and third-party physical retail stores. The company manages its international business through a network of wholly owned subsidiaries, joint venture partners and distributors.
