Tennis-Point – a Signa Sports United company,  which has set its sights on €13.5 to €14 million in annual sales – will be opening three stores, two of them big, in the last third of the current year. Speaking with CMDsport, its chief executive for Spain, Miquel Just, says that the first will open in September at the Parque Oeste mall in Alcorcón, in the Community of Madrid, and spread over 700 square meters. A 100-square-meter store will probably open in Turia during the same month, and a second big store, of 800 square meters, is to open at the Alfafar mall, 15 km from Valencia, in November. The chain is now negotiating terms to open another two stores, in Málaga and the comarca of Vallès Occidental. The earliest of these would open in October.

At present, Tennis-Point has three stores operating in the country, in Mataró, Barcelona and Madrid, along with two pro shops, in Barcelona and El Prat de Llobregat. According to Just, the chain plans to be opening one store there every two or three months over the course of 2024 to reach a total of 15.

Tennis-Point’s financial year comes to a close on Sept. 30. The company expects to have generated sales of about €9 million from e-commerce and about €4.5 million from physical stores. Last year’s figures were €12 million overall and €9 million online.
