Emerald Expositions has announced that Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2021 has been moved from its original date of June 15-17 to Aug. 10-12 as a physical trade show at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, with a digital extension for exhibitors and attendees unable to attend in person. The date change was made to allow for a safe and successful in-person event, organizers said. Outdoor Retailer is working with Visit Denver, the Colorado Convention Center and show partners to implement the highest safety protocols and measures recommended by health officials and government agencies. The date shift, which is necessary due to current capacity constraints, gives Outdoor Retailer additional time to work with local officials and show partners on venue protocols and to incorporate enhanced health and safety programs into the Outdoor Retailer Summer experience in August. The Summer Market’s digital offerings via the Elastic Suite will be announced in the coming weeks. Outdoor Retailer and the Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) will also collaborate to offer a full program of educational sessions. Details will soon become available on the sessions, which will take place throughout the summer and be accessible remotely.
