Adidas has reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement with M Design & Manufacturing, one of Forever 21's suppliers, in a trademark case claiming that Forever 21, a Los-Angeles based fast-fashion retailer, had violated trademark law by using Adidas' three-stripe mark. The terms of the settlement were not immediately disclosed. The lawsuit, which kicked off in March of this year, alleged trademark infringement and dilution, deceptive trade practices, and unfair competition. In July, when the court unsealed the complaint, it was revealed that Adidas also alleged there was counterfeit, or “repurposed” product being sold by Forever 21. The German sportswear giant specifically pointed to shorts and track pants that featured the three-stripe mark. Adidas first sued Forever 21 for using its registered three-stripe mark back in 2015. That particular lawsuit was settled in early 2016. Adidas has previously filed lawsuits against Ecco, Marc Jacobs, Skechers and Tesla for allegedly infringing on its registered three-stripe mark.
