On has signed Swiss sprinter Mujinga Kambundji, bringing one of the country’s most decorated track athletes back to her home market in a deal announced 9 February.

The partnership reunites Switzerland’s sporting sisters under a single brand. Kambundji joins her sister Ditaji Kambundji, a World Champion hurdler, on On’s athlete roster as she prepares to return to competition following the birth of her first child earlier this year.

Strategic timing and family narrative

The move gives On dual ambassadors for technical product development whilst building a narrative around family and resilience that extends beyond conventional sponsorship frameworks. Kambundji holds Swiss national records across the 60 metre, 100 metre and 200 metre distances. She has reached Olympic finals in both the 100 metre and 200 metre events and has twice been named Swiss Sportswoman of the Year.

The deal extends beyond visibility. Kambundji will work with On’s product teams on performance gear development, whilst both parties have committed to community impact programming focused on next-generation athlete development in Switzerland.

The signing reunites the Kambundji sisters under a single brand. Mujinga, who holds Swiss national records across sprint distances and has twice been named Swiss Sportswoman of the Year, joins her sister Ditaji Kambundji—a World Champion hurdler already sponsored by On—as the performance brand deepens its investment in home-market talent.

The timing is deliberate. Kambundji gave birth to her first child earlier this year and is now preparing her return to competitive athletics. On is positioning this comeback narrative as central to the partnership’s public-facing message around resilience and performance longevity.

Kambundji said returning to competition as a mother represents “the beginning of the most meaningful chapter of my career” and signals that “being a mother isn’t the end of my athletic journey, but the start of something even greater.”
