Amer Sports has reviewed its sustainability commitment in many areas since 2020. The company has since become a Fair Labor Association (FLA) member, created an anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy, and updated its Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy. As signatories to the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action (FICCA), the group’s brands Arc’teryx, Salomon and Peak Performance have committed to set emissions reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees and have their targets validated against the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

In the most recent report, the group says it will strengthen its environmental, social and governance (ESG) ambitions and commitments to demonstrate accountability and transparency across the value chain. “We want to contribute to a cleaner environment, mitigate global warming, promote circular economy, embrace inclusion and diversity, and ensure good and fair working conditions for all employees.” This is underpinned by Amer’s new ESG strategy, which was adopted in 2022. The company has reviewed materiality against key themes for the strategy and is already tracking its progress. These key topics include climate change, water management, sustainable sourcing and supply chain. “We will now further define our sustainability ambition level, new KPIs and targets, as well as action plans,” Amer wrote.
