The Running Event (TRE), North America’s premier run specialty retail conference and trade show, has announced the details of its 2025 education program. Centered on the theme “Better Together: Uniting the Running Industry,” the program will feature action-oriented content and expanded session formats to support specialty retailers in navigating market shifts and building stronger consumer and community ties.

Taking place Dec. 2–4 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, the educational program will run throughout the three-day event. Sessions begin during the conference portion on Dec. 2 and continue in the exhibit hall’s open-format Training Camp Theater on Dec. 3 and 4. For the first time, TRE replaces the traditional keynote with multiple featured sessions to encourage broader dialogue and perspective.
“Each year, our education program is built around the real opportunities and challenges specialty retailers face,” said Caitlin Ewing, TRE conference manager. “This year, the format and theme are designed to empower attendees with practical strategies and inclusive insights.”
Topics include consumer trends, retail efficiency, community building, hybrid work models and inclusive event practices. Highlights include:
