Creating a new position, Foot Locker has promoted Franklin R. Bracken to chief operating officer, and is seeking candidates another new post of ”chief strategy, innovation and development officer.” According to the company’s chairman and CEO, Richard A. Johnson, the new posts will produce “a more streamlined and agile organizational structure.”

Bracken will be reporting to Johnson, overseeing both worldwide operations and the omnichannel customer experience. Foot Locker hired him in 2010 to be vice president of marketing for Champs Sports. He later served as senior vice president and general manager of Foot Locker and Kids Foot Locker in the U.S. and as vice president and general manager of Foot Locker Canada. In July 2020 he became CEO of Foot Locker North America. In earlier days Bracken spent five years at Coca-Cola and two at Miller Brewing. His first job was in management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Meanwhile, Foot Locker has promoted Susan J. Kuhn from senior vice president and general manager of Foot Locker Europe to president of EMEA and general manager of Foot Locker Europe. She will be reporting to Bracken, overseeing the Foot Locker Europe and Sidestep chains in the region. Kuhn joined Foot Locker in 2020 from Urban Outfitters, where she was executive director of strategy and business development. She served for two years as vice president and general manager of digital and direct retail at Converse China.
Foot Locker’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, Andrew Gray, will now in addition be driving product leadership, omni-marketing and customer and commercial development. He has held his current titles since July 2020. He was previously vice president and general manager of Foot Locker and Lady Foot Locker U.S. and vice president and general merchandise manager of Foot Locker Europe. He has been with the company since 2001. Before Foot Locker, he worked in buying and vendor management at the BJ’s Wholesale Club in the U.S. and at Atlantis Relocations in Australia.
