JD Sports Fashion Plc has announced the appointment of Dominic Platt as its new Chief Financial Officer and as a member of the Board. Platt is expected to join the JD Group later this year.
Platt is currently CFO of BGL Group, one of the UK’s leading digital distributors of financial services and owner of Compare the Market. He previously held senior finance roles at Darty Plc, where he was Group Finance Director and Managing Director of International Businesses, and at Cable and Wireless Plc.
Neil Greenhalgh, JD’s current Group CFO who has been in the role since 2018, will exit later in the summer.
This has been a week of big announcements for the JD Group, with the proposed acquisition of the French-based athletic footwear chain, Courir announced on Tuesday.
