The Danish Sportmaster chain has hired five new top managers since the beginning of this year, reporting to Andreas Holm, the company’s CEO, to help it to grow online and to open new stores in Denmark as well as in other Nordic countries. The Russian Sportmaster Group, which bought the Danish retailer by the same name two years ago, has already indicated that it wants to expand its presence in other Nordic countries. One of the new members of the team, who joined in February, is Sarah Chu Twisselmann, a 37-year-old former marketing executive at Ecco, who is now in charge of digital and marketing at the Danish Sportmaster. A 46-year-old former Nike executive, Michael Sloth, is head of retail and team sports since Sept. 1. Louise Vedel, head of finance, has worked at Hugo Boss for 12 years. Stephan Schöning, head of IT, previously worked for H&M and Illum. Dorothe Bloch, head of purchasing and category management, was a former country manager for Stadium in Denmark and Germany, and subsequently marketing director at Shoe-D-Vision.
