Anta Sports Products, impacted by lower foot traffic and weakened consumer sentiment due to the pandemic resurgence in Mainland China, reported “mid-single-digit” growth in Anta branded product sales for the six months ended June 30. Fila branded sales declined low single digits year-over-year, and first-half sales of all other branded products increased 30 to 35 percent from their 2021 level. The group has implemented cost cuts to reduce operating expenses wherever possible and is forecasting a net operating cash inflow for the six months. In the second quarter, Anta branded product sales slipped mid-single digits; Fila brand sales declined in the high-single digits, and all other brands’ product sales increased 20 to 25 percent. Other brands include Descente and Kolon Sport.
