Go Sport has extended the policy of its loyalty card with a system called Mercure. Customers can now accumulate up to €50 per year on their card by meeting certain fitness goals within a day. For now, their options are running, hiking and cycling, with threshold distances of 7 km, 8 km and 15 km, respectively. First, however, card bearers must go to the Go Sport website and sync up their tracking app (Strava, Garmin, Runkeeper, Polar, Fitbit, etc.). According to Benjamin Robinet, Go Sport's director of marketing, merchandising and e-commerce, Mercure's subscribers exceed 3,000, and 86 percent of them would recommend the service to friends and family. The company is looking to add new sports to the system by early next year. Through partnerships with other companies, Go Sport's loyalty card also offers customers a chance to win products, invitations and store credit. Mercure's launch includes a first partnership with Nike.
