Canadian company Lululemon is launching a series of interactive wellness events in communities around the world in honor of World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10, 2023. The day aims to raise awareness and create positive change around the world through mental health education.

Planned events range from collaborative sweat sessions in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, the US and Canada to a four-day experiential wellbeing space event in South Korea. In addition, Lululemon will collaborate with renowned artist Jeremyville to open a “Wellbeing Roll-Out Gallery” in mainland China, providing space for people to bring their holistic well-being to the forefront.

According to Lululemon’s 2023 Global Wellbeing Report, while 67 percent of people give their wellbeing a top priority, only 12 percent say it is where it should be. In fact, one in three respondents said their wellbeing is lower than it has ever been – revealing a “wellbeing dilemma” where prioritizing wellbeing does not improve wellbeing. To support these findings, Lululemon has developed a series of World Mental Health Day events and activities to help people on their journey to wellness. “This World Mental Health Day, our regions are once again coming together in support of wellbeing as a universal right for all,” said Nikki Neuburger, Chief Brand Officer at Lululemon.

The brand’s World Mental Health Day activities include:

Shanghai, China

Lululemon is partnering with Jeremyville, a world-renowned artist who shares a passion for community and uplifting work, to present the “Wellbeing Roll-out Gallery” on the iconic West Bund. The 3 km outdoor installation will host programming from Oct. 9-15 that includes “A Conversation Series” with key speakers, sweat sessions led by Lululemon ambassadors and more. Additional well-being activities will take place in five major cities across China throughout October.

Seoul, South Korea

The Find Your Wellbeing event, Oct. 12-15, focuses on simple movement, mindfulness and connection. The four-day event will feature a wide range of well-being activities, from yoga and other sweat sessions to wellness experience spaces, to help people develop well-being habits they love.

UK, France, Germany and Spain

According to this year’s report, 65% of people believe their mental well-being improves when they move their bodies, and 44 percent of people exercise more with others than they did before the pandemic. From Oct. 9-15, Lululemon is making its way to all European stores to help people feel their best by moving and connecting in the community. Key cities include London, Berlin, Paris and Madrid, with workouts, yoga and running sessions led by store ambassadors, followed by downtime, connection and treats.

Toronto, New York City, Boston, Seattle, Chicago and Minnesota

From a Women of Color Mental Health Workshop in Toronto to dinner and meditation with local mental health leaders in New York to a movement session on Empowering Men’s Mental Fitness in Boston, there will be a series of events open to all on and around October 10 from coast to coast in North America. In addition, live and on-demand classes at the Lululemon studio will be available through the app around World Mental Health Day.

Australia and New Zealand

In line with global trends, men in Australia and New Zealand feel hindered by societal and gender norms. For the fourth year, Lululemon Australia/New Zealand is partnering with Movember, the global men’s health charity, to improve men’s well-being through movement, mindfulness and connection. This year’s Movement for Change campaign includes a Movember x Lululemon product capsule collection and a two-day wellbeing event in support of men’s health in late October.
