Luxury conglomerate LVMH has become a premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in an unprecedented partnership that “will contribute to heightening the appeal of France around the world,” Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, said in a statement. The terms of the agreement were not revealed, although Reuters reported it would cost around €150 million. LVMH already supported the Paris 2024 Olympic Committee during its bid for the Summer Olympics. The partnership will involve different brands and fashion houses of the LVMH group. Jewelry brand Chaumet will design the medals for both the Olympics and the Paralympics. Moët Hennessy wines and spirits will provide its products as part of the Games’ hospitality programs. Sephora will be a partner for the Olympic Torch Relay, with activations for the public all along the relay route. The LVMH group will also support individual athletes, including French swimmer Leon Marchand, the world record-holder of the 400-meter individual medley. LVMH has also announced that between now and the Games’ opening ceremony, its fashion houses – in particular Louis Vuitton, Dior and Berluti – would undertake various engagements, with approval from Paris 2024, under the tagline “Artisan of All Victories.” Finally, as part of its new agreement with Paris 2024, LVMH will expand its community work to sport-focused initiatives, providing funding for sports associations memberships and training programs. The Paris 2024 Olympics will begin one year from now, on July 26, 2024.
