Under Armour

Under Armour is a US sportswear manufacturer and is headquartered in Baltimore. Originally developed purely for martial arts apparel and thermal sports underwear, in sports such as baseball and basketball, and shoulder pads, Under Armour now also offers casual t-shirts, pants, shoes and caps. The company was founded by Kevin Plank in Washington, D.C., in 1996. He was a college football player himself and found his team’s apparel inadequate, which led him invent the high-performance apparel and equipment that keeps athletes cool, dry and breezy during games, workouts or training. 

Under Armour’s today’s corporate mission statement is “nurturing al lathletes through passion, design and relentless pursuit of innovation”.
