Both appointments follow the completion of Anta’s 29.06 percent stake purchase from Artémis SAS, which ended the tenures of Chair Héloïse Temple-Boyer and Deputy Chairman Jean-Marc Duplaix. The court mandates of Tao and Jeanne Huang run until the May 2027 AGM.
Puma’s Supervisory Board has elected Dennis Tao, Anta Sports’ Head of M&A and Capital Markets, as its Chairman. The vote took place at an extraordinary board meeting on Oct. 21, after a court appointed him to the board that same day. The court also named Jeanne Huang, 56, to the board. Both mandates expire at Puma’s May 2027 Annual General Meeting.
The changes follow the closing earlier this month of Anta’s 29.06 percent stake purchase from Artémis SAS, the Pinault family holding company. Anta, which ruled out a full takeover, had said it would seek board representation. With the sale completed, Héloïse Temple-Boyer, board Chair since 2022, and Deputy Chairman Jean-Marc Duplaix, who also chaired the Audit Committee, have left their posts.
Who the new members are
Tao, 50, was a director of Amer Sports, the parent of Arc’teryx and Salomon in which Anta is the largest shareholder, between 2019 and 2026. Earlier, he held senior roles in equity research and asset management, with Morgan Stanley Asia among his employers. He has held the Chartered Financial Analyst title since 2003.

Huang heads PIPA International, which pairs Anta Group labels with global creative talent for product projects and collaborations. She was previously the Anta brand’s Senior Vice President, responsible for product, marketing and retail. Before that, she spent more than 20 years at Nike, latterly as US-based Vice President of Global Brand & Category Communications.

CEO Arthur Hoeld said the pair’s experience with leading brands worldwide and in China would help the company. Tao said he would support Puma’s “strategic transformation.”
The new line-up
The seven-member board now comprises Tao, Huang, Roland Krueger, Bernd Illig, Martin Koeppel, Fiona May and Harsh Saini. Krueger becomes Deputy Chairman and takes over the Audit Committee.
