Puma has won an appeal in the General Court of the European Union, which has asked the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to re-examine the company's claims against Doosan Machine Tools. That company had registered in 2012 a figurative mark resembling its own logo for goods and services related to machinery. Puma contested the registration, but the EUIPO ruled that there would be no link between the two marks in the eyes of the public, according to the World Intellectual Property Review.
