According to a post by Secret Sales owner Matthew Purt on LinkedIn, Puma has partnered with the U.K. marketplace to distribute surplus inventory and custom products. That means Puma can focus on full-price inventory on its own websites and other channels while having full control over its brand, offering and pricing on Secret Sales.
Secret Sales is Puma’s first marketplace in the U.K. for non-full-price products. The partnership also gives Puma access to Secret Sales’ significant customer reach, as well as the ability to acquire new customers to target on their own channels in a fully GDPR-compliant manner.
According to Charged Retail Tech News, the announcement came at a time when Secret Sales has seen a 55 percent increase in active customers compared to last year. Puma also plans to double its offerings on the site to more than 1,500 products by the end of September, according to the online service.
