International boardsports and lifestyle specialist Blue Tomato is expanding its presence in the Netherlands with a fourth store. The company from Austria opened a new store in the “Spaarnestad” Haarlem just in time for the important shopping day Sinterklaas. The new store is located at Grote Houtstraat 96 and covers a sales area of more than 200 square meters. Blue Tomato has already been operating high-volume locations in Amsterdam, Utrecht and The Hague for several years.
Founded in 1988 by former Austrian European snowboarding champion Gerfried Schuller and part of the U.S. company Zumiez since 2012, the retail chain is one of the world’s largest online retailers in the snowboard, freeski, surf, skateboard and street style sectors, with over 750 employees and more than 450,000 products. The site blue-tomato.com registers up to 125,000 visitors daily. The webshop has been available in 14 languages for some time now.
