The supervisory board of Intersport Germany has announced a settlement with Klaus Jost, who served as one of the two general managers of the buying group between 2001 and November of last year. He was dismissed following his objections to a change in the structure of the executive board where he would have reported to Kim Roether, appointed by the supervisory board as the new chief executive. The terms of the settlement could not be learnt. When he left Intersport, he was entitled to keep his salary for three years without working for the company. The settlement was announced after the re-election of Knud Hansen from Kiel as chairman of the supervisory board and Stefan Thurner from Flensburg as his deputy. At Intersport Germany's general assembly, Roether made a speech in which he insisted on the need for a multi-channel retail strategy in today's environment.
