After two years of reconstruction that reportedly cost €35 million, another large German sports store, L&T in Osnabruck, has reopened its doors, offering a new shopping experience. The biggest attraction is an artificial wave in the water basin in the basement, where people can surf. Another special feature is a training area for mountaineering that replicates oxygen-poor conditions at an altitude of 2,500 meters. People can also train in an 800-square-meter fitness studio. The second floor of the nine-storey building features exclusively women's products. New and old brands can present special concepts in another part of the store. L&T, which stands for the Lengermann and Trieschmann families, claims between 14,000 and 20,000 visitors per day, as its potential catchment area reaches up to one million people in Germany and the Netherlands.
