AliExpress, the global online retail marketplace owned by Alibaba Group, officially kicked off its 2022 11.11 Global Shopping Festival on Oct. 31 under the theme “Deals & Fun. Always Better Together” – a full two weeks earlier than previous years and running throughout November. For all orders in Spain, France, Poland, the U.K., Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and South Korea, AliExpress is offering free shipping on all purchases.
Klarna has entered into a strategic partnership with AliExpress, which has already been launched in Spain, France and Italy. Customers in these markets are the first to benefit from flexible payment options. The partnership is expected to expand to other European countries in the coming months, including the U.K., Portugal, Belgium and Ireland.
AliExpress has developed a series of themed shopping experiences this year, including the “Keeping-Warm Selection,” a special page featuring energy-saving and low-cost thermal products. For soccer fans and sports enthusiasts, there is the “Soccer Fever Shopping Page” with football-related items such as soccer apparel, projectors and TV accessories for fans to celebrate and share their enthusiasm.
AliExpress announced its logistical enhancements ahead of the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival in October this year, including an x-day delivery guarantee, free shipping and free returns. More than 5 million products on the platform support x-day delivery this year, a 100-percent increase over last year. In addition, the “On-Time Guarantee” has been introduced for selected products, where AliExpress will automatically refund a voucher of $1 per order if packages arrive late.
