Nike is backing Girls United through a new partnership, called Love the Games, which is meant to give girls in London more access to sports such as football. According to the charity, girls drop out of sports at twice the rate of boys. As reported by Sportindustry.biz, the new initiative will give girls at primary schools in London the opportunity to play football through a special program that includes game days and weekly sessions as well as active workshops in which female role models are showcased for both girls and boys.
