Speedo has announced the appointment of Cullen Jones, four-time Olympic medalist, to its North America team as the brand’s ”philanthropic sales manager.” He will be responsible for fund-raising initiatives and activities to build relationships with grassroots teams and community support strategies. Most recently, he was a development manager, responsible for fund-raising and marketing initiatives, at Novant Health. Jones, who is 36 years old, is a former Team Speedo ambassador. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter freestyle relay, together with Michael Phelps, Garrett Weber-Gale and Jason Lezak. At the 2012 London Olympics, Jones won a gold medal in the 4x100-meter medley relay as well as silver medals in the 50-meter freestyle and 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
