Software service supplier TrusTrace, based in Stockholm and Coimbatore, India, has launched its new TrusTrace Certified Material Compliance platform, a software solution that aims to link all purchase orders to production steps, certificates, supplier declarations and quality reports for real-time traceability.

The new TrusTrace Certified Material Compliance service wants to help brands to manage risk and compliance, tightly integrate their suppliers worldwide and eventually allow them to prove sustainability claims with confidence. TrusTrace claims that its solution directly addresses emerging industry methodologies and pending government regulations that will require brands to base sustainability claims on verifiable and precise data. The new platform is designed not only to provide permanent insight into compliance with all production steps but also to help identify material waste by intelligently calculating discrepancies between input and output along the supply chain.

According to a company statement published by the software service supplier, global player Adidas is one of the first large companies to adopt TrusTrace Certified Material Compliance, after providing early input on its development, focusing on a scalable, digital solution integrating seamlessly with enterprise systems like product lifecycle management (PLM), purchase order system and supplier management systems to minimize the need for manual intervention.

Besides Adidas, the Amsterdam-based Fashion for Good association advocates for the new TrusTrace software technology that aims to facilitate industry-wide standardization of supply chain data and lays the foundation for accurate impact tracking, trustworthy certification and waste stream analytics.
