Nike has announced a new partnership with iCoachKids to support youth coaches. iCoachKids is a global not-for-profit coaching movement that was initiated in 2016. The movement is led by the Leeds Beckett University, the public university in Leeds formerly known as Leeds Metropolitan University, and the International Council for Coaching Excellence. It also brings together other organizations like Fiba (International Basketball Federation), Sport Ireland Coaching, the Hungarian Coaches Association, the Netherlands Olympic Committee, the German Youth Sport Board, the European University of Madrid, the Lithuanian Sport University and the Royal Belgian Football Association. The collaboration with Nike focuses on improving the quality of youth coaching. It will aim to create digital resources for youth coaches, as well as an online community where coaches can exchange ideas and knowledge with their peers. The partnership also calls for a redesign of the iCoachKids website, which is scheduled for to be launched in early 2021.
