U.S.-based subscription health and wellness company Beachbody’s connected fitness sales fell 87 percent in Q4 to just $4.75 million, down from $36.80 million a year ago. For the full year, revenue fell 11 percent from $42.74 million to $38.19 million. The cost of sales still far exceeds revenue, with $10.54 million in Q4 and $91.45 million for all of 2022. Similar to Peloton, Beachbody, which recently rebranded as BODi, now offers its bike as a subscription, as part of the “BODi Bike Studio Bundle” for $50 per month. The company plans to launch an updated version of its digital and wellness platform this year.
Overall, Beachbody’s net loss was $194.19 million for the year versus a loss of $228.38 million, on 21 percent lower revenue of $692.20 million versus $873.65 million, primarily from its fitness, nutrition plan and support subscriptions, and nutrition products.
