Footpatrol, the iconic sneaker store owned by the JD Sports Fashion group, is opening a second store in Paris, in the Marais district. Footpatrol has turned into a sneaker destination in Soho in London since it opened its original store in 2002 and then moved to its current location on Berwick Street eight years later. It sells special ranges from brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans and Converse, as well as labels such as RetaW, Be@rbrick and Jason Markk, and its own range of apparel and accessories. Footpatrol will compete with Paris sneaker stores such as Shinzo Starcow and Opium. Several other international sneaker retailers have moved into the French capital as well, such as Sneakersnstuff from Sweden and Urban Jungle from Italy. Footpatrol's location of nearly 50 square meters on Rue du Temple was previously occupied by Supra. The store was designed by Counterfeit Studio, with a concrete finish, mirrors and strip lighting.
