For its first small collection of footwear, Canada Goose has put together a marketing campaign, called “Forces of Nature,” featuring the footballer Romeo Beckham, the indigenous artist and activist Sarain Fox, and the indigenous leader and hockey player Jordin Tootoo. In a film – with the wilderness of Squamish and Whistler, British Columbia, for a backdrop – the three reflect on their careers. Beckham speaks of a “Force from Within,” Fox of how “Woman Is a Force” and Tootoo of being a “Steady Force.” The Canadian brand announced its entry into the footwear business in September, in line with a strategy, called “Beyond the Parka,” intended to shift the brand toward the lifestyle category. This first collection comprises two boots, the Snow Mantra and the Journey. It will be making its debut on Nov. 11 in Asia-Pacific and on Nov. 12 in North America and in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It will be sold at Canada Goose’s about 35 own stores, through its website and through selected retail partners around the world.
