French skiwear brand Fusalp has named Pascal Conte-Jodra as its new Chief Executive Officer. He replaces Alexandre Fauvet, who left the company in November after ten years at the helm. In his new role, Conte-Jodra is charged with reinforcing the brand’s presence in strategic markets, the company said. He will collaborate closely collaboration with Mathilde Lacoste, Fusalp’s Artistic Director.
Most recently, Conte-Jodra served as CEO of the Parisian fashion brand Y/Project for one year. As a financial analyst, he began his career in 2003 at Hermès in New York City. He then worked at Carolina Herrera for six years, holding various senior roles, including Director of Retail Operations and Strategic Planning. From 2013 to 2017, he was Global Vice-President of Finance at Marc Jacobs in the US. Back in France, he served as managing director of Mugler Fashion in 2018, part of L’Oréal Group, for nearly five years.
Founded in 1952, Fusalp is best known for pioneering in the early 1950s the so-called “fuseau,” a technical style of stretch ski pants attached to the foot, worn in the 1960s by the French national ski teams and famous champions like Jean-Claude Killy. The company was acquired and relaunched in 2014 by siblings Sophie and Philippe Lacoste, grandchildren of Lacoste founder and tennis legend René Lacoste.
