Eleventeamsports, the German football specialist, will be FC Schalke’s contractual partner for the next five years, starting with the 2022/23 season. The company will take care of the implementation and management of the German football club’s new sponsorship deal with Adidas, which will be taking the place of Umbro. Adidas had accompanied FC Schalke since the founding of the German national league in 1963, but after 55 years, the partnership came to an end in 2018, with Umbro taking over the role. A few months ago, Schalke’s departing sports director, Alexander Jobst, had announced the early separation from Umbro at the end of the 2021/22 season. According to his statement, both sides had not been satisfied with the success of the sponsorship. As part of the new partnership, 11teamsports will be responsible for the implementation of the contract with Adidas for all the teams of the Gelsenkirchen-based club, as well as for the embroidery of the jerseys and the supply and merchandising of other products for the team. 11teamsports is the official licensing partner of the German Football Association (DFB) for its “name and numbering” division, responsible for the production, customization and global sales of the German national team’s jerseys. It is also outfitting over 5,000 amateur clubs.
