Adidas has unveiled its first Full-Cover Swimwear Collection, designed to allow all women to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of swimming. The collection is supposed to meet the needs of those who require full coverage either for cultural reasons or just for the sake of greater choice in the water. The new multi-piece collection includes swimsuits that offer coverage from neck to ankle. The swimsuits feature press studs, situated inside the top at hip height and along the outside of the fabric on the legs, to connect the two and allow for an adjustable fit while preventing unnecessary movement of material in and out of the water. They also feature thumb holes in the sleeves, for optimized fit. Singlets with sleeves and a swim hijab complete the collection. Each piece has been designed to ensure that additional fabric does not reduce a swimmer’s ability to move in the water, said Adidas. The range was tested with consumer groups across multiple regions to help find “the perfect balance of fit, features, performance and coverage.” The garments dry quickly. As part of Adidas’ commitment to more sustainable design, all the pieces in the collection are crafted with a chlorine-resistant fabric that features Econyl regenerated yarn. The Adidas Full-Cover Swimwear collection is available in three different colorways – black, acqua blue and burgundy red - and in a range of sizes from 2XS to 2XL.
