Adidas has announced a global licensing agreement with Delta Galil for the design, manufacture and distribution of men’s and women’s underwear under the Adidas Badge of Sport and Originals labels, starting in the spring of 2022. The women’s collection will be sold in all the regions. The men’s collections will be sold in all the regions except North America. Both collections will be sold through Adidas’ own DTC channels and at department stores. The more functional Badge of Sport collection will also be sold through sporting goods retailers, while the more lifestyle-oriented Originals collection will be made available at selected fashion retailers. Delta Galil develops intimate apparel, activewar and sleepwear under its proprietary brands and through licenses with numerous brands including Calvin Klein, Columbia, Spalding, Tommy Hilfiger and Wilson. Founded in Israel in 1975, Delta Galil had sales of $1.45 billion in 2020. Over the years, the company has been expanding organically and through acquisitions such as those of Schiesser in Germany in 2012, Seven for All Mankind in the U.S. in 2016, Eminence in France in 2018, the Bogart Group in Hong Kong in 2019 and Bare Necessities in the U.S. in 2020. It has been opening many new factories in different countries.
