Arena is introducing a new iteration of its Arena One swimsuit developed with Sydney Eco, a polyester fabric made with 100 percent recycled yarn from post-consumer plastic bottles. The Sydney Eco has been developed by Carvico, a textile manufacturer with headquarters near Bergamo, Italy, specializing in performance fabrics for the swimwear, outerwear and sportswear worlds. Explicitly designed for swimwear, the new yarn is said to be resistant to chlorine as well as sun screens and oils.
