Fidlock, the German company specializing in innovative magnetic fasteners, unveiled a brand new Concept Sneaker with the innovative Fidlock Winch closure/adjustment system. The sneaker, an athletic shoe with the new Winch closure, will not be available to the public, but serve as a showcase for potential collaborations. The company will display the sneaker in its showrooms and at trade shows. A pair will also be made available to distributors for client consultation. What’s special about the new concept show is the versatility of the one-handed closure that the Fidlock Footwear Team developed: tightening, adjusting and fastening all in one, so “ideal features for a sneaker, all combined in one intuitive component, which is also fun to use,” according to the company. During the product presentation, the company’s footwear team also showed other innovative magnetic closure concepts, such as the stitchable Buckle on a Strap, the Lace Race or a gadget attachment solution for footwear.
