Following Serena Williams’ loss at the U.S. Open singles tournament on Sep. 2 and her retirement from tennis, Nike released a 60-second clip the following day to celebrate the athlete’s legacy. The new ad is titled “By Changing Nothing, She Changed Everything” and features guest voiceover narration from U.S. actress and singer Zendaya. The video, created in partnership with Portland-based creative agency Wieden+Kennedy, features footage and imagery about Williams’ story, from her childhood in Compton, California, to turning professional at 14, to earning an overall 23 Grand Slam titles. The tennis star, who will turn 41 on Sep. 26, announced that she would retire from the sport in an essay accompanying her September cover issue of Vogue.
