After nearly two decades of numerous achievements in biathlon and cross-country skiing, One Way is entering the Alpine World Cup in the 2022/23 winter season. Swiss ski racer and slalom specialist Daniel Yule will be one of the first athletes to rely on poles and equipment from the Austrian company founded in Finland in 2004, starting next season. The company first entered the alpine pole market in the 2021-22 winter season with a wide range of alpine skiing, ski touring and freeride products. Racing poles for Alpine skiing were already available in the 2021-22 season, but One Way had not yet been represented in the FIS World Cup. In addition to Swiss slalom specialist Yule, Joaquim Salarich and Juan del Campo of Spain will also be using One Way poles in the World Cup next winter. Over the next few years, One Way aims to reach the same level as its Nordic race team, including French biathlon overall World Cup winner Quentin Fillon Maillet. In 2018, Fischer Sports had taken over One Way’s worldwide brand and patent rights (except for China) after its assets in bankruptcy were initially taken over by Finnish Fischer importer Patrol Oy.
