Unleash Your Nature (UYN) has received an iF Design Award in the “Product” category for its 3D Ribs Sabot, a sock-derived shoe consisting of a single piece of seamless fabric that can be used as either a sabot or a shoe. By raising the heel area, the UYN 3D Ribs Sabot takes on, indeed, all the characteristics of a shoe. The 3D Ribs Sabot is made of Natex, a 100 percent bio-based ultra-breathable yarn derived from castor beans. The model is part of UYN’s new spring/summer 2021 collection. The iF Design Award, established in 1953, is organized each year by the Hannover-based iF International Forum Design. In 2021, the iF Design Award welcomed nearly 10,000 submissions from 60 countries.
