Having joined forces with Padel Galis, Wilson Sporting Goods will begin selling pádel courts next month, according to CMDsport. Wilson Court, as the product is called, will, in time, be selling worldwide but is focused for now on the U.S. Padel Galis, a Spanish company that manufactures official courts for the World Padel Tour, among other models, will be the exclusive global dealer. The two companies came to an agreement back in December 2021.
Wilson Padel’s global business director, Ignacio Cabrera, explained to CMD that pádel is a priority for the company as it seeks to extend its reach all over the world.
As we reported earlier, Wilson has promoted a company veteran, Jason Collins, to global general manager of racquet sports. Collins is in charge of tennis as well as the newer, fast-growing markets of padel and pickleball.
