Anta Rus, the Russian distributor of Chinese sporting goods company Anta Sports, has launched a 360-sqm store in Moscow, which the company said is going to serve as the flagship for the brand on the local market. The outlet is the biggest mono-brand Anta store not only in Russia but also in the entire European chain.

“The new space is a new opportunity to show the audience the quality and constantly improving technologies that are used to create our collections,” said Dmitry Ageev, director of Anta Rus. He added that the brand is popular in Asia but has relatively poor recognition among Russian customers.

The flagship store was opened in the Aviapark shopping center, which, as Ageev explained, is popular among the young audience. It offers the latest model of sporting goods and athletic apparel, the company stated. Anta Rus runs 31 mono-brand Anta stores in Russia and the CIS region, including 5 in Moscow.

*In an earlier version of this article we wrote that the Chinese company Anta Sports has opened a store in Moscow. This is not the case. The store was opened by Anta Rus, the group’s Russian distributor.
