CMP, the Italian sports brand that belongs to the Fratelli Campagnolo group, is using the space previously occupied at Mezzolombardo near Trento by Nardelli Sport, a well-known store focused on alpine skiing, for its first superstore based on its new HUB CMP Sport concept. About 70 percent of the 1,700-square-meter space on six floors is covered by CMP apparel and footwear products for men, women and children. The remaining part is reserved for complementary brands such as Nordica, Tecnica, Blizzard, Dynafit, Salewa, Under Armour, Dalbello, Völkl and Marker. Part of the space will be used to organize events. Focusing on mountain sports, the superstore will also partner with local ski schools.
Tasci, the former parent company of Montura, another Italian brand of mountain sports clothing and footwear, has been following a similar concept with its Alpstation stores, which sell Montura products along with those of other brands. Montura has just changed ownership, as reported in the Outdoor Industry Compass.
