Decathlon continues to work with other retailers in various countries, including the Ukraine. The leading international sports retailer has opened 20 corners in Silpo supermarkets in Kiev and nine other big Ukrainian cities, including some in which it already has its own stores. Currently, the product range is limited to 74 items, primarily for fitness and outdoor activities, carrying the same prices as in its own stores in the country. Decathlon plans to change 10 percent of the assortment every season, and to scale up the project in the near future. In May, Decathlon Ukraine told a local news service that it wants to establish a presence in all big cities in the country as well as in some small towns. Decathlon already has three stores in Kiev and one in Odessa. Four new stores should come on stream in 2022. Meanwhile, the Decathlon Ukraine online store is set to double the number of products it is offering from 25,000 to more than 50,000 by the end of 2021. E-commerce has come to represent 30 percent of Decathlon’s sales in Ukraine, compared with a ratio of around 22 or 23 percent in most other markets.
