Puma India has introduced diverse mannequins in its stores across the country to mark Women’s Day. The brand selected four female customers with different body types to participate in the initiative, in which mannequins were made according to their measurements. In the past, retail mannequins have always been tailored to look a certain way. With this move, Puma aims to break the rigid beauty standards of society. Currently, Puma India has placed the new mannequins in 24 stores in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vadodara, Guwahati, Goa, Pune, Vadodara, Gurugram, Jalandhar, Chandigarh and Ahmedabad, with more to come later this year.
