During the international equestrian trade show Spoga Horse in Cologne, the German company Uvex Sports (headquartered in Fürth), and the French equestrian apparel brand Horse Pilot, based in Cysoing, signed a distribution agreement for Uvex equestrian equipment for the French market. As of September 2022, the Horse Pilot sales force will offer Uvex Sports riding helmets, sports glasses and riding gloves to French equestrian equipment retailers, together with its own technical riding apparel and boots. Horse Pilot is a young technical equestrian apparel brand that is also the official supplier of the international equestrian federation (FEI). It has a solid customer base in its home country, planning to expand further into Europe within the coming years.
Before teaming up with Horse Pilot, Uvex Sports ended its partnership with its former riding sports distributor in France. Uvex Sports’ distribution agreements with Sunset (for winter sports goggles and helmets) and Horizon Vertical for the bike markets in France remain unchanged.
