Cycora Lab

Saucony unveiled the new Saucony x Cycora collection, a range of running tops made in part from Cycora material, a regenerated polyester derived from textile waste that would otherwise end up in landfills. The men’s and women’s collection consists of a tank, crop top, short sleeve top and singlet, with each piece made up to 23 percent from Cycora.

“Our collaboration with Cycora allows us to simultaneously reduce the amount of materials that end up in landfills and produce a premium collection of products that are ready to go. We are excited to partner with Cycora and know that runners will appreciate that they are helping to balance the used clothing cycle with this collection,“ said Brian Moore, senior vice president of global product at Saucony.

Shay Sethi, CEO of Ambercycle, the maker of Cycora, commented, “With this collaboration, we invite the global running community to participate in building a circular ecosystem where performance apparel is removed from the waste cycle and reused again and again.“

According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, the equivalent of one garbage truckload of clothing is landfilled or incinerated every second, contributing to the global environmental impact of textile waste. Cycora was launched in 2020 by Ambercycle, and Saucony is the first running brand to collaborate to develop a clothing line. The Saucony x Cycora collection is available now exclusively on saucony.com.
